Imam Al-Busiri’s Wisdom — We Cannot Break Bad with Bad

In life, we often face people who hurt us, speak against us, or treat us unfairly.
ജീവിതത്തിൽ നമ്മെ വേദനിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരും, ദോഷമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നവരും, അന്യായമായി പെരുമാറുന്നവരും ഉണ്ടാകും.

Our natural reaction is to strike back — to respond with the same tone, the same anger, or even the same injustice.
സ്വാഭാവികമായി നമ്മൾക്കും അതേ രീതിയിൽ തിരിച്ചടിക്കാനാണ് തോന്നുന്നത് — അതേ കോപത്തോടെയും അതേ അനീതിയോടെയും.

But Islam teaches a higher path — a path of beauty and balance.
പക്ഷേ ഇസ്ലാം നമ്മെ അതിൽ നിന്ന് ഉയർന്നൊരു വഴിയിലേക്കാണ് നയിക്കുന്നത് — സൗന്ദര്യത്തിന്റെയും സമത്വത്തിന്റെയും വഴിയിലേക്ക്.

There are people who ask, is there any good word in the Qur’an ?
ചിലർ ചോദിക്കുന്നു — ഖുർആനിൽ നല്ലൊരു വാക്ക് ഉണ്ടോ?

“Good and evil are not equal. Repel evil with what is better.” (Surah Fussilat 41:34)
“നല്ലതും ദോഷവും ഒരുപോലെ അല്ല. ദോഷത്തെ നല്ലതുകൊണ്ട് മാറ്റിക്കൊൾ.” (സൂറത് ഫുസ്സിലത് 41:34)

This divine message shows that we can never defeat darkness with more darkness — only with light.
ഈ ദിവ്യബോധനം നമ്മെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് — ഇരുട്ടിനെ മറ്റൊരു ഇരുട്ടുകൊണ്ട് മാറ്റാനാവില്ല, വെളിച്ചം കൊണ്ടേ കഴിയും.

We cannot cure hate with hate — only with love.
വിദ്വേഷത്തെ വിദ്വേഷത്താൽ മാറ്റാനാവില്ല — സ്നേഹത്തിലൂടെയാണ് അതിന് കഴിയുക.

We cannot remove bad with bad — only with good.
ദോഷത്തെ ദോഷത്താൽ മാറ്റാനാവില്ല — നന്മകൊണ്ടാണ് അതിനെ മാറ്റേണ്ടത്.

This is not weakness, but the strongest form of strength — the strength of the heart that chooses peace over revenge.
ഇത് ദൗർബല്യം അല്ല — അതാണ് യഥാർത്ഥ ശക്തി, പ്രതികാരത്തിനുപകരം സമാധാനം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ ശക്തി.

Imam Al-Busiri (رحمه الله), the great Sufi poet who wrote Qasidat al-Burda, echoed this same spirit.
ഖസീദത്തുൽ ബുർദയുടെ രചയിതാവായ ഇമാം അൽ ബുസൈരി (رحمه الله) ഇതേ ആത്മീയ സന്ദേശമാണ് പങ്കുവെച്ചത്.

His poetry reminds us that a true believer responds to harm with patience and forgiveness, not anger and vengeance.
അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കവിതകൾ നമ്മെ ഓർമ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് — യഥാർത്ഥ വിശ്വാസി ദോഷത്തോട് കോപത്തോടല്ല, ക്ഷമയോടും കരുണയോടുമാണ് പ്രതികരിക്കുന്നത്.

When you respond to negativity with kindness, you disarm it completely.
നീ നെഗറ്റീവായ പെരുമാറ്റത്തോട് സ്നേഹത്തോടും ദയയോടും പ്രതികരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അതിന്റെ ശക്തി തന്നെ നഷ്ടമാകും.

Just as water puts out fire, goodness extinguishes evil.
വെള്ളം അഗ്നിയെ അണയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, നന്മയാണ് ദോഷത്തെ അകറ്റുന്നത്.

That is the beauty of Islamic character — to rise above hatred and reflect the mercy of the Prophet ﷺ.
അതാണ് ഇസ്ലാമിക സ്വഭാവത്തിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ സൗന്ദര്യം — വിദ്വേഷത്തിനെ മീതെ ഉയർന്ന് പ്രവാചകൻ മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ ന്റെ കരുണയെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ പ്രതിഫലിപ്പിക്കുക.

💫 നമ്മെ വേദനിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോഴും നന്മയെയാണ് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടത്.
