Iblis —The Egoistic Fellow, He Denied to Sujood Adam Alayhi Salaam

ഇബ്ലീസ് — അഹങ്കാരിയായ വ്യക്തി, ആദം അലൈഹിസ്സലാമിന് സജ്ദ ചെയ്യാൻ നിരസിച്ചവൻ

ഇബ്ലീസ് (ശൈതാൻ) എന്ന കഥ ഖുർആനിലെ ഏറ്റവും ശക്തമായ പാഠങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്.
അവൻ ആദ്യം ദോഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമായിരുന്നില്ല — വാസ്തവത്തിൽ, ഇബ്ലീസ് ഒരിക്കൽ വളരെ ഭക്തിയോടെ അല്ലാഹുവിനെ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്നു.
അവൻ അത്രയും പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു, അവനെ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തി.
പക്ഷേ, അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ അഹങ്കാരവും വിനയമില്ലായ്മയും നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

The story of Iblis (Satan) is one of the most powerful lessons in the Quran.
He was not always a symbol of evil — in fact, Iblis once worshipped Allah with great devotion.
He prayed so much that he was raised among the angels.
But deep inside, his heart was filled with ego and arrogance.

🔥 The Fall of Iblis

അല്ലാഹു ആദം (അലൈഹിസ്സലാം) നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചപ്പോൾ, തന്റെ സൃഷ്ടിയോടുള്ള ആദരസൂചനയായി എല്ലാ ദൂതന്മാരോടും ആദമിന് മുന്നിൽ സജ്ദ ചെയ്യാൻ കല്പിച്ചു.
എല്ലാ ദൂതന്മാരും അനുസരിച്ചു — പക്ഷേ ഇബ്ലീസ് നിരസിച്ചു.

When Allah created Adam (Alayhi Salaam), He commanded all the angels to make sujood (prostration) before Adam as a sign of respect to Allah’s creation.
Every angel obeyed — except Iblis.

അവൻ അഹങ്കാരത്തോടെ പറഞ്ഞു:

“ഞാൻ അവനേക്കാൾ ഉന്നതൻ; നീ എന്നെ തീയിൽ നിന്നാണ് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്, അവനെ മണ്ണിൽ നിന്നാണ്.”
(ഖുർആൻ 7:12)

He refused, saying with pride:

“I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.”
(Qur’an 7:12)

ആ അനുസരണക്കേടിന്റെ ഒരൊറ്റ പ്രവൃത്തിയാണ് അവന്റെ വിധിയെ പൂർണ്ണമായി മാറ്റിയത്.
ഇബ്ലീസ് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ദയയിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കപ്പെട്ടു — അവൻ ആരാധിച്ചില്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ടല്ല, അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വിനയം ഇല്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ടാണ്.

This one act of disobedience changed his destiny forever.
Iblis was cast out of the mercy of Allah — not because he didn’t worship, but because his heart lacked humility.

💔 Worship Without Purity of Heart

ഇബ്ലീസിന്റെ കഥ നമ്മെ ഓർമ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്, ആരാധന മാത്രം മതിയല്ല എന്നതാണ്.
നാം രാത്രി മുഴുവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചാലും, ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അഹങ്കാരം, അസൂയ, ദ്വേഷം എന്നിവ നിറഞ്ഞാൽ ആ ആരാധനയ്ക്ക് പ്രകാശമില്ല.

Iblis’s story reminds us that worship alone is not enough.
You can pray all night, but if your heart is filled with pride, jealousy, or hatred, your worship loses its light.

സത്യമായ ആരാധന സമർപ്പണമാണ് — അഹങ്കാരം അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മുന്നിൽ കീഴടങ്ങുകയും അവന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട സൃഷ്ടികൾക്ക് ആദരവ് കാണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.

True worship means submission — surrendering the ego before Allah and showing respect to His beloved creations.

🌿 The Danger of Ego Today

ഇന്നത്തെ കാലത്ത് പലരും ഈ പാഠം മറക്കുന്നു.
ചിലർ വിശുദ്ധ സ്ഥാനങ്ങൾക്കും അൗലിയാക്കൾക്കും അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ദാസന്മാരുടെ ദർഗാക്കൾക്കുമൊക്കെ ആദരവു കാണിക്കാൻ വിസമ്മതിക്കുന്നു.
അവർ പറയുന്നു: “എന്തിന് നമസ്കരിക്കണം, എന്തിന് ആദരം കാണിക്കണം?” — അതേ സമീപനമാണ് ഇബ്ലീസ് ആദമിന് സജ്ദ ചെയ്യാൻ നിരസിച്ചപ്പോൾ കാണിച്ചതും.

Today, many people forget this lesson.
We see some who refuse to show respect to holy places, saints, or the dargahs of Allah’s beloved servants.
They say, “Why should we bow, why should we show adab (respect)?” — the same attitude Iblis had when he denied to make sujood to Adam.

പക്ഷേ ഓർക്കുക — ആദരവ് കാണിക്കുക എന്നത് ഒരാളെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നത് അല്ല; അത് അല്ലാഹുവിന് മുമ്പിൽ വിനയം കാണിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ അടയാളമാണ്.
അല്ലാഹുവിനോട് അടുത്തവർക്കുള്ള അനാദരവ് ഹൃദയത്തെ ഇരുണ്ടതാക്കുകയും, ഇബ്ലീസിനെ വഞ്ചിച്ച അതേ കുടിലത്തിലേക്ക് ഒരാളെ തള്ളുകയും ചെയ്യാം.

But remember — the command to respect is not worshipping the person or the shrine; it’s a sign of humility before Allah.
Disrespecting those who are close to Allah may darken one’s heart and make one fall into the same trap that deceived Iblis.

🌙 A Reflection for Every Heart

മറ്റുള്ളവരെ വിലയിരുത്തുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ്, നമുക്ക് സ്വന്തം ഹൃദയത്തിലേക്ക് നോക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
നാം വിനയമുള്ളവരാണോ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അഹങ്കാരം നമ്മുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ?
വിശുദ്ധരോട് ആദരവ് കാണിക്കാൻ ഹൃദയം തയ്യാറാകുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, സത്യത്തിന് മുന്നിൽ നമിക്കാൻ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ഓർക്കുക —
ഇബ്ലീസ് വളരെ ആരാധിച്ചു, പക്ഷേ അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം ശുദ്ധമായിരുന്നില്ല.

Before judging others, we must look inside our own hearts.
Are we humble, or are we letting pride rule our actions?
If we find it difficult to respect the pious, to bow our hearts in front of truth, then we must remember —
Iblis too prayed a lot, but his heart was not pure.

🕌 പാഠം
🕌 The Lesson

ദർഗാക്കൾക്കും, അൗലിയാക്കൾക്കും (أولياء الله), സത്യനിഷ്ഠരായ ദാസന്മാർക്കും ആദരവ് കാണിക്കുക ശിർക്ക് അല്ല — അത് സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെയും വിനയത്തിന്റെയും പ്രതിഫലനമാണ്.

അഹങ്കാരത്തോടെ മുഖം തിരിക്കുന്നവർ അറിയാതെ തന്നെ ഇബ്ലീസിന്റെ പാതയിലാണ് നടക്കുന്നത് — അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെയും വിപ്ലവത്തിന്റെയും പാത.

Respecting the dargah, the awliya (friends of Allah), and the righteous is not shirk — it’s a reflection of love and humility.
Those who turn away with arrogance may unknowingly walk the same path as Iblis — the path of ego and rebellion.

നമുക്ക് ഹൃദയം ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കാം, അഹങ്കാരം താഴ്ത്താം, ഓർക്കാം —
അല്ലാഹുവിനോടു നമ്മെ അടുത്താക്കുന്നത് നമസ്കാരങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണമല്ല, അതിന് പിന്നിലെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ ശുദ്ധിയാണു.

Let us purify our hearts, lower our pride, and remember —
it is not the number of prayers that bring us close to Allah, but the purity of the heart behind them.

“അല്ലാഹുവിനുവേണ്ടി വിനയപ്പെടുന്നവനെ അല്ലാഹു ഉയർത്തും.”

“The one who humbles himself for Allah — Allah will raise him in honor.”
